Our inquiry topic this term is looking at ways we can reduce the amount of waste at DPS even though we sort our waste into three catergories already. We have three bins a Green for paper that can be recycled, a red bucket for non recyclable waste eg Chippie packets yoghurt contains, muslie bar wrappers etc and a white bucket for food waste that feeds our worm farms and contributes to the compost bin that feeds the gardens.
Look at the amount of non recyclable waste each clss has to dispose of each day!
Opaline received the class PRIDE award this week for always showing respect to her classmates.

This group are practising their back stroke. It's hard pushing your tummy up, remembering to use your leg action and going straight!
These swimmers are practising their leg action with rocket ship arms. Keeping your legs straight, kicking your feet, blowing bubbles is a lot to think about.
Wow! Look at all these sea stars floating around.

Aquatics

We have been so lucky this year to have had a good 5 weeks of swimming every day. Here are Mathieson and Jaiden practising how to float with confidence and then regain their feet in our school pool.
